Stable Bodies has been running since 2010 when I completed training with the Oxford School of Sports Massage in BTEC Level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy. This got followed up with the holistic therapies of Hot Stone and Warm Bamboo massage, medical acupuncture and kinesiology taping to incorporate into my remedial work. Pilates training began from personal experience with back pain and I was amazed at how the method could help reduce and in many cases eliminate many postural symptoms, increasing flexibility, strength and stability within the joints.
I trained in the contemporary STOTT Pilates method in 2015 following a remedial path. At this point, understanding human biomechanics became more important and I became a Biomechanics Coach in 2015. I teach various Pilates classes in Shaftesbury, Zeals, Fontmell Magna and Pimperne from Matwork to TotalBarre ( ballet, Pilates fusion) and Boxilates (boxing, Pilates fusion) and intend on future workshops in Pilates for horse riders, kayakers and various sports to enhance your performance. I am also STOTT Pilates equipment trained and am lucky enough to have my own studio with the equipment ( Cadillac, Reformer, Chairs and Barrels) at home near Shaftesbury where I currently teach private and duet sessions. I’m quite sporty and enjoy horse riding, sea kayaking and climbing, which by practicing Pilates ‘keeps me on track’ as they are quite demanding sports on your body.

Why choose Pilates sessions with me?
Contemporary Pilates trained in the STOTT method focusing on correct biomechanics and movement. We use a variety of equipment such as fit balls, flex bands, foam rollers, spiky balls, arc barrels, soft weights and more, aiming to opt for a different piece of equipment each week. Sessions are fun!
Sessions are restricted to 6-8 people at a time depending on the venue. This allows members of the group to voice any issues they have with their body mechanics and I can tailor the sessions to suit. Sessions are centered around the clients in the room, no pre plan is set although props may be.
Sessions are bought in term time blocks which enable you to be consistent and committed to improving the mechanics of your body.

My Mum booked me in to help me get through my GCSE’s. All I could think about was failing and forgetting everything I had read which stopped me revising. Nick taught me to relax and everything else just fell into place. My Mum said I am a lot nicer to live with as well. Once I had got the hang of it, the self-hypnosis was awesome!

Hi Nick, just a quick note to let you know I went in a lift today for the first time in 15 years

After yo-yoing for the last 20 years (at least) I had 3 sessions with Nick and have now lost over 2 stone and do not feel I am missing out on anything. Finding the reason for my overeating was the key and have not looked back since. I cannot thank you enough.

I have always been afraid of heights but it was starting to affect my daily routine. One session (loved the NLP) and I feel like a different person ladders, bridges, outside stair no problem

I used to hide around the corner at school pick up and once the children were let out run in and make out I was running late to avoid conversation. I was always worried that I would have nothing to say. I went to see Nick twice and he gave me a recording to listen to at night and I now go in early and have even made some good friends. I would highly recommend DHC
